I can’t think of anything but nights with you. I want them warm and silvery, when we can be together all our lives.

Despite Larry’s difficulties in coping with Vivien, she was the love of his life, even after their divorce in 1960. Shortly before the actor passed away, he was seen by a friend, watching a film on television starring his ex wife. With tears in his eyes, he said: ”This, this was love.”

I’m so damn glad I love you – I wouldn’t love any other man on earth – I b’lieve if I had deliberately decided on a sweetheart, he’d have been you.

Happy 70th Birthday to Sharon Marie Tate | January 24, 1943 - August 9, 1969
“Sharon was the type of girl who had no defences, no pretences, she was just herself all the time. She never cared about being beautiful, she never even cared about acting, she just wanted love and to be loved and to have her baby. She had this kind of beauty and fragility and you just knew she was bound to get hurt because of it, but you still couldn’t help admiring that quality in her, she was just such a special person. She was so trusting, so eager to accept people as they were, so generous, she never shut her door to anyone. She always had a way of finding such goodness in others. If someone hurt her, she’d say ‘Oh Sheila I’m sure they didn’t mean to’, she’d always make excuses for others, Sharon was just totally loving and also totally vulnerable, she was just a remarkable person, she never gave up on anybody. In all the thousands of words that have been printed about her since her death, none really told about my friend…about the Sharon I knew.”
