Those who are still looking for ideas on ways to play with makeup during the holidays may want to try this festive look.
With Isabel’s help, I put together a tutorial for a dewy, glittery look that’s sparkly but not over the top. (Click HERE to see the video.) It may be a little too shimmery for other times of the year, but you can definitely wear it to parties and other glitzy special events or fun nights out with friends if you make a few modifications. You can use different colors, instead of the gold, green, and red here, for instance. Or you can pick only a couple of spots on your face to add a glow to, rather than several areas, as you can see in the tutorial.
Have fun!

A few days ago, one of my brother’s friends, Isabel, was free to sit for a makeup tutorial so we filmed one for the holiday season.
If you’ve always wanted to try wearing glitter but have been hesitant, this is a look you can experiment with. Even with a pop of color on the lower lash lines, this is pretty wearable, as the focal point on the eyelid is gold, which complements Isabel’s skin tone, rather than a loud or overly dramatic shade.
I am in the process of editing the video, so stay tuned if you want to see this—it should be uploaded on my YouTube channel soon.

Are you planning on attending a few parties this holiday season? If you like getting dolled up for the special events where you make an appearance, I just uploaded a makeup tutorial you might find useful this season. (Click HERE to see the video.)
I added a hint of sparkle to dark smoky eyes, and painted the mouth a deep glossy red, creating a dramatic look with a glam rock inspiration. To lessen the holiday vibe if you want to wear this a slightly differently way at other times of the year, wear a nude lip instead, or use glitter-free eyeshadows.

If you like getting dressed up for special occasions and get-togethers, you might enjoy the holiday party-themed makeup tutorial I’ve just uploaded. (Click HERE to see the video.)
As you can see from the pictures, the look has retro influences, such as the winged out black eyeliner and matte red mouth, so lovers of classic 1950s or pin-up girl style makeup may like this holiday twist, where the eyes have quite a bit of shimmer and even a hint of glitter.
If you found this useful or are looking for more makeup application ideas, I have at least one more tutorial I put together especially for this season coming up. I’ll be back with the link once it’s ready. ♥

Today, my friend Alicia was scheduled to perform at a concert, so I did her makeup for the event and filmed it, resulting in a tutorial, which will be uploaded on my YouTube channel as soon as I’m done editing the footage.
This time of year, you can wear this look to a holiday party, as it evokes the spirit of the season with its smoky and sparkly sugar plum eyes paired with vibrant red lips. By all means though, feel free to wear it for special occasions anytime else if you really like it, since wintertime doesn’t have a monopoly on makeup like this.
I’ll be back with the link to the video if you want to see it. ;)

Over the weekend, I filmed a tutorial for a holiday party-themed makeup application with a classic vibe. Not all the details are evident in this picture, so if you’re interested in this look, I invite you to watch the video on my YouTube channel once it’s been uploaded.
In this sneak peek photo, you don’t see it, but the elongated cat eyes are shimmery, and even have a trace of glitter. This sparkly effect is paired with slightly flushed cheeks and a matte red lip to balance out the look. If you favor more of a contemporary feel, as this has a lot of classic-inspired touches, I’ll also be putting together a tutorial for the season along those lines, so stay tuned. I’ll be back soon with updates on both videos. :)
