I know it’s been so long since I was last here, but I’ve really REALLY missed it. I miss not just blogging, but writing in general, and I hope to do more of it now that the holiday hoopla is dying down and I won’t be as busy.
So much has happened since I’ve been gone, and it’s been an adventure all the way. Maybe I’ll share some of it with you sometime. :)
I hope your New Year has been fantastic so far!
I have been so busy…
…working almost every day that I haven’t been posting here on a regular basis. I at least wanted to say hello, and I hope all is well with you.
The plus side—other than being able to support myself through my work—is that I am learning so much more about makeup and the art of selling, which will come in handy once I jump more into my own business, instead of just working for someone else or a company that’s already established.
I’ll post again when I have more time. Enjoy your day!
Been so busy working…
…and it’s great (I love playing with the many colors and products at MAC Cosmetics!), but I’m also excited to film and post new makeup tutorials.
Spring is approaching, so I’m thinking of putting together something colorful.
I’m about to get ready for work now, but I’ll be back soon. Enjoy your day!

Now I know why I find this girl I work with so attractive…
…She looks like a young Joan Jett!
I miss…
…making makeup tutorials.
At least when I roll my sleeves up to share my art with you again, I’ll be so inspired I’ll be bursting with excitement, hahaha!
I hope your week has gotten off to a great start!

Halloween Posts
So here I am, recuperating at home from a cold, cough, and fever. As I uploaded only one Halloween-themed makeup tutorial this year—unlike in the past two years, where I posted several in both 2009 and 2010—I will use this time to share some of my favorite costume looks that I put together or recreated. You might find at least one of them useful if you’re still looking for ideas for October 31st.
Since I started posting makeup videos on my YouTube channel, I have always looked forward to October, which I see as a time to get extra playful and creative in celebration of Halloween. Because October this year just happened to coincide with huge changes in my life, I didn’t feel up to the task of putting videos together on top of everything else. BUT…
I just want to let you know, if you’ve been following my makeup tutorials, that I am simply on a break, and will be back to filming in the right time. What I know for sure is, so much has happened since I was regularly uploading videos, that the content on my channel is going to be quite different when I come back.
Thanks for reading, stay tuned, and I hope you’re having a great time preparing for Halloween!
♥

Just got hired by MAC Cosmetics!
This is a little post with some updates that might interest you if you follow my makeup tutorials, and have been wondering why I haven’t been uploading videos regularly for over two months now.
In August, my fiancé and I, along with our two baby dogs, tried moving to a new location in case the opportunities for us would be better. We were busy all the time, and didn’t have our stuff unpacked that I couldn’t really focus on my videos, even if I was thinking about making new ones all the time. We ended up learning a lot, but not really being better off financially, so we came back. However, it was just like starting over—we couldn’t simply pick up where we left off, since we no longer lived where we used to, and our stuff stayed unpacked all throughout September, as we didn’t have any place to put it.
Now it’s October, the month that I’ve been making sure—since 2009—to get lots of Halloween tutorials uploaded. I’m still busy forging a new path, but life is slowly starting to settle down and things are gelling nicely. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I can put videos together on a regular basis again soon.
One bit of good news (especially if you know about my passion for makeup as art) is: I got hired by MAC Cosmetics! I actually already was a freelancer for MAC back in 2004, but I moved from the East to the West Coast, so I took on other opportunities as I saw fit at the time. Now, I can start fresh with MAC, and I’m thrilled to be doing so. :)
I’ll let you go now, but before you do, I want to say, THANK YOU. To viewers and followers who’ve stuck around (some of you have even become my friends) through my life changes, even when it meant I wasn’t uploading new videos or posting on my other sites/pages, I am very grateful. I’ve seen during my recent challenges that I have more support than I thought, and that’s been really gratifying and humbling for me.
Bless you. ♥
A tiny realization
People who appear to be strong and capable don’t have superpowers that only they possess. They simply act, even when they’re frightened or uncertain.
